Good morning to me!?

This morning my alarm went off and i was laying there getting awake..and i heard really loud paper rustling. i sat up and looked around on the floor and saw a flash of brown. i sat there...like a spy---as still as a rock by night (trust me, rocks are stiller at night)--about 30 seconds passed by. all of the sudden here rushes mr. mouse. he runs up to a bag that has CHOCOLATE in it. i watch as he tries to chew through the tinfoil of the chocolate bag. then, as to not be spotted he dashes off. 10 seconds later, he's back for a second (possibly 79th try, who knows?) shot. again, *nibble nibble* *scratch scratch* and then off he goes. i wait for a few more minutes, but he's gone off to another part of the room. i can hear him though..scratching around. so i reset another mousetrap and put it where i thought he was. i was a little scared to walk around up there--he was a little on the big side for a mouse. Not to mention the fact that our cat Tiger, who is supposed to be a 17 year old, professional mouse-catcher, couldn't be any less concerned. So our dog Sadie thinks that now she's the mouse-catcher. The only problem is that she's too loud and way too slow. If the trap catches a mouse, I have to be the one to dispose of it, since everybody in my house has left me. I can handle them when they're out in the wild, but IN MY ROOM, where i SLEEP!!? Different story, people! Ohhh dear. I hope these mice festivities come to an end soon!!!

Yuck! I cannot function when there is a mouse (or a spider) in the room. Not that I fear them (right), but they really creep me out.

Tell me that picture isn't yours. You didn't find a mouse nest and snuggle with the babies and take a picture! Tell me it's not you!

ha ha...that reminds me of the time that I saw a mouse on my kitchen counter. It wouldn't go near the trap, so I had to lure it into an empty formula can (Shep was a baby then). He and I were at home. My mother-in-law was laughing at me as I tried to catch the dumb thing. I couldn't kill it. When I finally got it in the tin and put the lid on, he kind-of became my pet. Jason and I took him out to a field later that night. As we were driving away Jason said to me, "You know that a bigger animal is just going to come along and eat it now, right?" I could've cried...that was my pet mouse and now he was out in the wild alone.

oh I feel your pain.
We had a mouse when we lived in the trailer, Randy set a trap in the kitchen and I was the lucky one to find it. I screamed like a little girl and wouldn't go back in the kitchen until he disposed of it. What a pansy I am!

Oh I have aonther story about that mouse.
Ethan and Eli were little and I was afraid they would get their sweet little hands caught in a regular trap so I bought one of those humane traps that a little door closes behind the mouse when he goes in for the cheese. Well the cheese was always missing and no little mousie, I thought stupid trap doesn't work. Well i found my little mousie, Ethan was stealing all the cheese. i caught him with his hand stuck in the plastic tube and couldn't get it out. All that cheese put some extra weight on him, I guess;) Good thing I din't put rat poison on it!

Tracy - you had "A" mouse????? Try many, many mice. In every house we have ever lived in we have had lots of the little devils. We always seem to live around corn fields. I have gotten used to them. I have even been known to catch one with my hand (it was a baby and very slow!) I don't like them very well, but you just have to get used to things. Especially out in the country. If you need someone to empty a trap Mirm, give me a call. Love you Sweetie!!!!!!!
