Coming Back...

I was talking with a friend tonight and he was telling me that he was in an awesome mood. I asked why and he said because he was listening to worship music.
"You're on a Jesus high, aren't you?" I asked.
But then I realized...why am I NOT on a Jesus-high right now? Shouldn't we, as Christians, always be? God calls us to abide in Him--let Him invade our lives; totally captivating us. So if we are abiding in Him, we're totally surrounded and engulfed in Him, allowing us to be on a "Jesus-high".
"I'm not on a high, I'm facing reality," he answered.
"Which is...God totally rocks your face off?" I asked.
"He's everything He says He is, and more; but He just lets you know again every now and then. I think it's called 'Comin back to the heart of worship.' "

God's grace, patience and love amaze me more and more everyday. He never gets tired of giving us grace, He's so forgiving. His patience that explodes upon us as we are bouncing around trying to do things our way. When really, He's sitting there chuckling at us because of our ignorance, waiting for us to realize we can't do it without Him. It's time for me to get off MY track, and get in tune with the Lord's. This picture is a little scary--it'll catch you off guard. That's Steve, Charis and me (obviously). Jean is one crazy guy. But he loves the Lord. He loves his guitar and he's quite good at it. His style is a little whack sometime, but it's Jean. As you can see, he always has a lot of energy because he drinks so much mountain dew. He's a fun guy to be around. Sometimes he's a little shy, but invest time in him and the shyness will last 3.6 seconds. Love you Jean!

Don't we look like one big happy family? A brother and sister, an adopted sister, and a mom? beautiful. I miss Yann and Manu so much, and I also miss all the other frenchies. They're such an awesome bunch of kids. For those of you who didn't get to know them...I wish that you had. And Lisa, I miss her too but she's only 1 mile away instead of 7,000. I love you all! MWAH!

Yes, you see this ginormous stack of books here? that's just about the amount of books i carry in my backpack 2x a week. ok ok, i'm exaggerating just a little bit, but that's what it feels like. i'm getting overwhelmed with school. i'm taking 18 credits (for those of you who don't know: the usual load is 13-15 credits) and i crammed them into 2 days. i have 8 different classes. i also am working 20+ hours. there's no time for sleep! but i must make time. "Lord, give me strength and clarity of mind. I love you! Amen!"
