À mes amis...

C'est mes amis français. Quelquefois, je veux pleurer parce qu'ils vivent dans le france et je vive en indiana. Je les manque beaucoup. Voici quelques photos. Je vous aime beaucoup!!!!!! Bizous!
(For those of you aren't french-speaking people: the basic translation is this: "these are my french friends, i miss them and love them alot!)

Achievement

A wise person once told me these 3 mindsets are the key to being a great unicyclist. But I think they can also pertain to every goal we want to accomplish. We could even add "Diligence" or "Discipline"...what else? Give me your thoughts. (And just an update...tonight I completed 5 full wheel rotations--i'm moving up!)

Attempting the impossible...

I've been inspired to learn how to ride a (or is it "an"?) unicycle. During my trip to California, I was introduced to this sport, if you will, and I was immediately intrigued. Few of you know that my mother used to ride a unicycle back in the day. Yes, my mommy, the one who grew up running with the lions, climbing acacia trees, speaking a tribal language, herding the zebras, she can ride a unicycle and walk on stilts as well. A few years ago she bought a unicycle to get back into the hang of it. Cindy also bought one because if Mom could do it, surely she could. The "unicycle craze" lasted for a good 6 months and then fizzled out. But last week the craze was ignited once more as I saw an amazing guy riding a 6-foot unicycle and watched Phil learning how to ride the standard size. Tonight, I whipped out "the tire", put some air in that baby, and took her for a test ride, err...attempted to anyway. I used the neighbor's wooden fence as a railing. Not realizing I would be relying so heavily on a wooden fence, I didn't think about the potential splinters that my hand would incur. Along with a couple splinters, there are some black and blue bruises on my shins from knocking into the pedals. I was told that unicycling is a real work-out..hah! Come on, you're just pedaling A wheel. Folks, let me testify that this is no walk in the park. I was sweating after 15 minutes (gross i know, but such is life). I didn't get very far, but it was my first day of practice. It can only get better. Stay tuned for more on this topic...

San Francisco

So San Francisco was a BLAST!! I had so much fun!!! I've posted quite a few pictures, but I couldn't leave them out. I'm sad to be back home away from my new friends, but I did miss my family :) So look and comment!

Awesome people (and places)!

John Miller...the oldest of the 10 miller kids. He's a stud.

Holly is one crazy girl. This face---it's pretty normal for her :)

Benjamin and I.

"HUH!?" These are Phil's safety goggles for work.

Heck yes. This place is AWESOME!! you can buy a hamburger that is 10x better than wendys/mcd's for $1.95!!! Yeah, i know that's pretty sweet!

Ben and Phil made me try calamari. It was like eating a giant, gushy spider. It tasted just like my face says it's going to taste. Yuck.

Phil was pretending to be 7 years old again.

Mary Frances is THE BOMB!!!! She's so cute.
Okay, so if you've never tasted Orangina---you DON'T know what you're missing!! It's like carbonated orange juice..oh my gosh..sooo delightful! It's a European drink and I thought it was only found over there, but THEN I stumbled upon it in Cali. MMM!

We think gas price of $2.89/gal is bad?? This is the norm in San Fran: $3.27/gal for 87......this was on the low end. I saw a few others that were $3.55/gal for 93.

Chicken wings

I'm finally feeling de-stressed. I have one more day of finals left: biology & french and then i'm done with school!! OUAI JE FINI! Then, I'll be flying out West to see my sissy and bro. Time is becoming more available and prevalent in my life: this, is a good thing. Now I'll have time to clean my room (i know mom, it's atrocious) and scrapbook. (lis? jess? wanna have a party?) God has been so good to me and has made this semester fly by. Guys, i'm going to be a freakin JUNIOR! IN COLLEGE! i remember in high school, that seemed pretty old. Anyway, I dont have too much to say, except that I'm finally able to chill out. Thank you, Jesus!
